Singer/Songwriter/Musician/Instructor

Lihn DeCoste is an accomplished singer/songwriter who keeps her audience captivated and entertained throughout her performances.

She began her music training at the age of 7, completing Royal Conservatory of Music exams in piano, voice and music theory. Having a thirst for musical knowledge and ability, Lihn introduced herself to many other instruments, including the guitar, saxophone, clarinet, violin and drums.  Over the years, she was involved in many different types of choirs and bands.
At age 15, she began teaching private music lessons, which she continues to do and enjoy. Lihn attended Dalhousie University for the Music Program, majoring in Piano.  In 2004, she recorded and privately released her first solo album titled “Ferrona: A Place That Doesn’t Exist.”  She describes her genre of music as folk-rock.  Lihn continues to write original music and hopes to record another album in the near future.
She has performed at many different venues including The New Glasgow Riverfront Jubilee and East Coast Music Awards Showcases, as well as many weddings, pubs and lounges.  She has been involved in groups who have opened for well-known artists such as Matt Mays and Sloan.
Stylistically, Lihn’s interest lies in many different types of music. Besides her folk-rock originals, she enjoys playing a wide variety of music from the 1960’s to the present, and throughout the styles of rock, classic rock, celtic and country.
Lihn is currently performing solo shows in and around Nova Scotia at such places as the Fireside Lounge at Atlantica Oak Island Hotel in Chester Basin and Sherlock’s Piano Bar at Best Western Glengarry Hotel in Truro.
